  2. Following entities are eligible for opening of Current Account.

    • A person in his individual capacity
    • Private Traders /Professionals/Proprietorship firm /Partnership Firm /Companies
    • Associations, Clubs, Societies, Trusts, etc

  3. What are the documents required to open Current Account
  4. For opening an account one needs to fulfill KYC norms i.e. one has to submit proof of identity and proof of address of signatories. Income Tax Permanent Account Number is mandatory.

  5. Which documents are required as proof of Identity?

  6. Customers shall provide one of the following as proof of identity.

    1. Passport,
    2. Driving license,
    3. Permanent Account Number (PAN) Card,
    4. Voter's Identity Card issued by the Election Commission of India,
    5. Job card issued by NREGA duly signed by an officer of the State Government,
    6. Letter issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India containing details of name, address and Aadhaar number.

  7. Which documents are required as proof of Address?
  8. If the address provided by the customer is the same as mentioned in ID proof, no other document is to be provided as proof of address.
    It is required to produce only one document showing permanent address. Current address can be self-certified by the account owner.

  9. What is the minimum amount required to open Current account?
  10. For Metro Branches - Rs.7000/-
    For Urban Branches - Rs.5000/-
    For Semi Urban Branches - Rs.3000/-
    For Rural Branches - Rs.3000/-

  11. What are the charges for non-maintenance of minimum balance?
  12. For Metro Branches - Rs 600/- per quarter
    For Urban Branches - Rs 500/- per quarter
    For Semi Urban Branches - Rs.300/- per quarter
    For Rural Branches - Rs.200/- per quarter
